Thermal Shock Resistant

Thermal shock is a frequent occurrence in industrial facilities and can lead to cracks, bubbling, peeling or delamination. This is especially true within the food and beverage sector, where the floor can face steam cleaning at 250°F, spillages of boiling fats or oils, blasts of air from freezers below -10°F as well as blasts of exceedingly hot air from ovens.

A thick, cementitious urethane floor coating such as Flowfresh is ideal for these environments, as it can withstand prolonged exposure to temperatures as low as -45°F and as high as 250°F, therefore maintaining a high quality surface despite these challenges.

As cementitious urethane shares a similar coefficient of expansion to concrete it will expand and contract with the substrate when subjected to temperature changes over time, which avoids thermal cycling related cracks and failures.
