Naturewalk is an innovative and highly slip-resistant bonded gravel system, which is used primarily to surface outdoor concourse and commercial venues. The system sees a range of natural coloured stone aggregates scattered into a solvent free polyurethane resin binder.
The product is often chosen as a longer lasting and more durable alternative to lose stone or gravel surfaces or as a seamless alternative to block paving - as the joint-free finish of the Naturewalk system eliminates the cracks where weeds can grow and dirt can dwell.
In this instance, the client requested a specially formulated colour blend that included 75% graphite aggregates and 25% natural aggregates to create a cool and contemporary poolside vibe.
As well as being applied to the edges of the pool, the material was used throughout the client’s indoor bar and lounge area as well as on the exposed stairs leading to the terrace.
The installation took just two days to complete over a total area of 155 square metres, ensuring that disruption to the client was kept to a minimum and that the new-look terrace was ready under a quick turnaround.
