Flowcrete has recently completed a high-tech project with dairy processing firm Clover SA, who operate a network of branches throughout South Africa as well as in a number of neighbouring countries.
The aggressive nature of the CIP and hot water washing process at its milk reception facilities demanded a heavy duty floor finish that had the necessary strength and durability to withstand frequent hot water washdowns.
Flowcrete’s polyurethane resin system Flowfresh HF was selected due to its superior thermal shock distortion properties making it ideal for use in extreme temperatures such as hot, wet food processing areas where steam and moisture are often present.
The hard-wearing system is further enhanced by its active anti-microbial action with a unique compound known as Polygiene® locked into the resin matrix to provide round the clock protection against a range of bacteria.
The system also inhibits the growth of mould, fungi and mildew, and delivers a hygienic, easy to clean surface.
