Flowcrete SA Launch Partnership With Scanmaskin

Flowcrete South Africa have officially become the agents for Scanmaskin machines in South Africa and most of Africa as well.

Scanmaskin is a well known international company originating in Sweden with a presence in all the Nordic countries and beyond. They manufacture grinding and polishing machines and tools for floors such as terrazzo, marble and sandstone to even wooden flooring. Therefore when Ian Harrison, managing director of Flowcrete SA was approached by Scanmaskin to become a partner he jumped at the opportunity.

“We are very excited to be the Scanmaskin agents in South Africa as we can now provide our clients with an extra service that not many of our competitors can offer,” says Ian Harrison.

Scanmaskin have many benefits compared with other grinding and polishing machines. The machines are completely made of steel and are therefore very durable. They do not contain any thin belts which need to be replaced regularly. They are easy grinders to manoeuvre and easy to maintain. The Snap-On system makes changing the grinding segments very easy.

“Using the correct floor preparation equipment is essential in laying sound and well bonded floors,” adds Ian.

As Scanmaskin manufacture the grinding and polishing machines themselves they can aslo ‘tweak’ their machines to a clients specification especially regarding the power voltage requirements that may differ from country to country. 

In addition to the grinders are powerful industrial vacuum machines suitable for heavy duty dust free grinding.

Paulo Bergstrand the Market and Export Manager for Scanmaskin visited Flowcrete SA to attend our launch in both Durban and Johannesburg. He did a live demonstration for all who attended the launch so everyone could see how the machines worked and feel how easy it is to manoeuvre them.
